25 for 25: Book vision recap
We’ve covered a lot of ground so far. Let’s look back at some of the key takeaways.
This essay is part of my 25 for 25 book writing series. The lessons in this series are meant to simplify the book writing and production journey. You can find a guide with links to the entire series here.
We’ve covered a lot of ground so far. Let’s look back at the key takeaways about vision:
As you embark on the writing process, you should spend some time tapping into and understanding your motivations and goals for writing the book.
Choosing the right topic could save you months, if not years, of your time while also positioning you for success.
By doing research on comparable titles, you can become more of an expert on other popular books and gauge where your book fits in the marketplace.
Instead of focusing on book sales as your metric of success, you could build an underlying sales funnel and connect it to your book, and generate five- and six-figure revenue from a single book sale.
What’s next?
After you’ve sorted out your book’s purpose and topic, and unlocked how it connects to your larger goals, it’s time to dive into the book’s foundation. That is next week’s theme.
